Stating that "The market was too narrow for it to be a viable business choice," Ubisoft has backed out of the tactical shooter genre, effectively ending the Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon series of games.

It's been a little over a month since Nvidia bought AGEIA Technologies... And what we've all known for a long time has now finally come to happen. No more physics cards.

Quote
The physics card as a hardware device will die. Nvidia spokespersons were very precise about that as they said that the current PhysX cards will be the first and the last of their kind.

This is the title of my little mod project for GRAW2. I've had a few different topics on this, but figured it would be best to gather it all up into one and will keep posting in this one.

The mod will change some things around to say the least. It will also try and add or tweak minor features that the community has asked for.

Among other things it includes:
- Increased draw distance from 150 to 300 meters and adjusted AI for it

- New MP classes and kits

- Adjusted SP kits and class restrictions

From a couple of different sources the patch includes:

New weapons:

M1041

New MP maps (SP maps converted to MP):

Madison (WI) - A Senator from Wisconsin wants to mandate an extra tax on video games because he claims they are linked to juvenile crime.

Personally, I'd like to see a 1% Tax on everything Senator Erpenbach buys.
It could be called the Moron Tax.  Thumbs up

Grin is expanding once again with a new office in Gothenburg, Sweden. this will be another development studio next to Stockholm and Barcelona. Jakarta will still be a dedicated QA studio.

The news link above has one error in it though as there is no Grin studio in Japan. Tongue We are working with Capcom but are not really big enough to buy them out.... yet.  cool

Starting of the new Gothenburg studio are old DICE employees which stayed in Gothenburg when DICE moved everything to Stockholm.

Blizzard confirms new MMOG

Community representative says recent job listings are for massively multiplayer online game unrelated to megahit World of Warcraft.

In April, Blizzard indicated a "next-gen MMO" was in the works by way of job listings on its official Web site. Playing coy, however, the World of Warcraft developer simply noted that it had a number of unannounced projects under its awnings, but no official confirmation of a new title would be forthcoming.
